Abstract

The study sheds light on financial technology and its impact on savings mobilization through a case study of the National Bank of Algeria (BNA) customers. The study aims to gain more knowledge about the impact of financial technology on the volume of savings, by evaluating the extent of customers' response to the technological developments that the bank has integrated into its financial services and their impact on savings mobilization. The descriptive approach was relied upon to determine the theoretical and cognitive foundations on which the study is based, by presenting the most important terms of the research and developing the proposed hypotheses based on previous studies. We also relied on the quantitative approach, by processing the data obtained from (120) individuals using two statistical programs: (SPSSv22) and (Smart pls4), to measure the impact of the uses of financial technology in the bank classified into digital banking services, digital payments and transfers, digital insurance, digital investment, and finance, on savings mobilization. The results showed that the use of financial technology by the National Bank of Algeria has a positive impact on the mobilization of savings among its customers, as (42.5%) of the changes in the mobilization of savings in the bank can be explained by the use of financial technology. The study recommended that more efforts be made to enhance digital literacy to use digital services safely and efficiently
