Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper aims to provide a brief description of the institutional settlements that characterize the economic path of Algeria during the past two decades, through the basic options related to the process of economic regulation in its forms related to the budget, integration into the international economy, the pattern of price formation, competition and labor mobilization formulas, in addition to the tangible forms that the monetary politics takes. The paper concludes, based on an analysis founded on the economic regulation theory, that these adjustments, which constitute a mode of economic regulation in the form of an ambiguous institutional settlement, have contributed greatly to strengthening the rentier nature of the growth system by devoting the modest role of the wage relationship, the incompatibility between the partial economic regulations and the inability to create and "direct" a new productive dynamic.
