Main Article Content
Abstract
In Algeria, Law No. 01-19 of 12 December 2001 relating to the management, control and disposal of waste is an instrument of environmental regulation, imposed on economic agents, in particular industries.
The purpose of this paper is to see the efficient of this law in waste management, at the level of agro-food industries of the wilaya of Bejaia. In order to respond to this purpose, we conducted a field survey, for a period of one year, from September 2016 to September 2017; we processed the data collected by the xl-stat software; we used the Multiple Correspondence Analyses (MCA) statistical method and the Khi2 and Fisher tests. We found that the law in question was not efficient in managing the waste of the industries surveyed. Companies continue to manage their waste in an obsolete way, and often without taking into account compliance with environmental standards.
